Employment Solutions is Co-Hosting a Job Fair with YMCA of Niagara this time with the Home Depot in Niagara Falls and St.Catharines. Available positions include:
- Sales Associate
- Cashier
- Lot Associate
Home Depot on a Virtual Career Fair on Tuesday March 23rd from 1-3pm.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old
- CSA boots needed
- Must be available for a minimum of 20/hours a week, agree to 2 closing shifts a week, open availability on the weekend
- Police Clearance needed for over night shift
- DIY knowledge not needed although an asset
- Customer Service is top priority
- Interviewers will ask…what department you’d like to work in. It’s important to know which one(s) and why
- Take time to research the website, candidates will be asked about the Home Depot values and how they embrace these values
Minimum Requirements to Work at Home Depot
Most positions that are posted for seasonal workers are contract positions (90 to 120 day contracts). There may be some part-time permanent positions posted as well. Permanent part-time associates do receive benefits based on part-time status.
Requirements for Overnight positions:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Able to work nights from 10:00pm to 7:00am
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to provide your own CSA approved steel toed boots
- Minimum wage plus 10% premium for working nights
Requirements for Customer Facing Positions (Cashiers, Lot Associates, Sales Associates):
- Must be 18 years of age
- Available to work two closing shifts per week
- Open availability on weekends
- Can work a minimum of 20 hours/week (20 plus hours/week)
- Must be able to provide your own CSA approved steel toed boots
