Job Description

As the Truck and Coach Technician you will be responsible for maintaining company owned equipment, truck-trailer systems and fleet vehicles. You will work in a team environment reporting to the Shop Supervisor ensuring satisfactory and timely preventative maintenance and repair of all equipment.

We are seeking a qualified Truck and Coach Technician with experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems. The Truck and Coach Technician will need to have a valid 310T license or be in the final year of their apprenticeship.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  •  Review work orders, troubleshoot, interpret and discuss required work with shop supervisor;
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck-trailer systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering and fuel, hydraulic and electrical systems;
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications;
  • Maintain medium and heavy equipment such as bobcats, mechanical sweepers, excavators and rollers;
  • Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups;
  • Complete all necessary paperwork;
  • Ensure safety of fellow team members in the shop and in compliance with applicable regulations and safety policies and procedures; Used required PPE.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Level 3 apprentice. 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic License preferred;
  • Ability to diagnose and determine optimal solution for repair;
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems;
  • Positive work ethic and attitude;
  • Proficiency with computer applications related to the trade;
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize;


Own Tools;

  • Valid Driver’s License;
  • Personal integrity and reliability;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimum supervision.


Credentials Required

Must have a valid 310T license or be in the final year of their apprenticeship
