A Consultant is responsible for identifying potential clients, understanding their software needs, and
effectively selling in-house designed or custom made software solutions to meet those needs. They play
a critical role in driving revenue growth for the company by establishing and maintaining strong
relationships with clients and achieving sales targets.
Prospect and Lead Generation:
• Identify and research potential clients within the target market in Canada
• Generate leads through various channels, including cold calls, emails, networking
events, and social media.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline by continuously adding new leads and opportunities.
• Engage with potential clients to understand their business objectives and software
• Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine which software solutions align with
the client’s goals.
• Stay updated on the company’s software products and their features.
• Clearly articulate the value proposition of the software products to potential clients.
Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
• Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations to
• Address client questions and objections effectively to drive sales closures.
• In consultation with the Manager, create customized software proposals that align with
the client’s needs and budget.
• Clearly outline the benefits and ROI of the proposed software solution.
Negotiation and Closing:
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms with potential clients.
• Work to close sales deals and achieve or exceed sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to existing clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions.
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
• Use market insights to adapt sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with marketing
campaigns and product launches.
• Provide feedback from clients to help improve products and services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent
• Proven track record of successful software sales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
• Knowledge of software development processes and technologies is a plus.
