Main Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Manager – HSE, the Systems Coordinator will have an opportunity to lead the customization, implementation and adoption of an off-the-shelf, cloud-based HSE software (DATS), throughout the company.  If you are up for the challenge, we have been looking for someone just like you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on DATS
  • Provide support by answering basic inquiries pertaining to company services and/or referring questions to the appropriate staff
  • Maintain proactive collaboration with the business leaders and HSE experts in order to get all relevant functional and user requirements onboard in the process
  • Using the tools available within DATS; create electronic forms and workflows to replace (and improve upon) manual processes
  • Working with stakeholders; identify issues, and opportunities for the use of DATS within the organization
  • Monitor and report on DATS usage, progress, issues, and opportunities
  • Provide training and guidance for end users through webinars, presentations, and documentation and assure that HSE related training materials including user guides, workflows tec. are communicated properly
  • Resolve or escalate any issues
  • Identify and propose potential solutions relating to DATS issues and opportunities
  • Assist in adding, modifying, and granting access to DATS
  • Develop and run reports; provide analysis and presentations using tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, when required
  • Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Customization of commercial off-the-shelf HSE software
  • Identify configuration expectations vs system limitations and communicate gaps to project team
  • Ability to develop necessary training guides
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Computer skills with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to think critically, act logically to evaluate situations, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Sense of urgency and delivery
  • High attention to detail and good organizational skills.  Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Coaching and training skills
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new solutions and technology

Job Requirements

  • Minimun of 1-2 years’ experience working with online databases
  • Post-secondary education
  • A natural grasp and interest in IT concepts and processes
  • Good understanding of HSE terms and concepts, and how HSE results can affect business operations
  • Understanding of management systems, like OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
